Soo Select Mosquito Goderich Tournament results
|
The Soo Select Mosquito Team played in a tournament in Goderich, Ontario this past weekend. In the first game the Selects lost 14-7 to Listowel. Gage Czop pitched a great opening game and Anthony Biocchi had 2 triples to lead the way offensively. In the second game, the Selects beat Hanover 15-6. Josh Clark was the winning pitcher while Owen Headrick was on base all 3 times up to bat. In the third game the Selects lost 9-6 to the London Nationals Major "A" Mosquito Team. The Nationals won the Mosquito Provincial "A" Championship last year. Anthony Biocchi and Owen Headrick pitched masterfully in the loss. Brandon Boyer led the Selects offensively getting on base all 3 times up to bat.
Overall, the Mosquitos learned a lot and are getting better every game. |
